Basque Nightclub On Fire

Basque Nightclub is on Fire. The Basque Nightclub at the storied Hollywood and Vine intersection spit flames 40 feet (12 meters) into the air and covered Los Angeles in choking smoke. The club was not open. No injuries have been reported.



More than 100 firefighters are battling the blaze, reported around 5:30 a.m. this morning.

Basque, which is at the northwest corner of Hollywood and Vine, has changed ownership many times over the years. A popular Hollywood club, Lindsay Lohan held her birthday here and Kanye West performed here.
