Legarrette Blount suspended for a season

Legarrette Blount suspended for a season for punching Byron Hout in the jaw on 3rd September 2009 i.e. Thursday.


Legarrette Blount punched in the jaw Byron Hout because he shouted at him and hit him on his shoulder when they were celebrating the victory on the Broncos\' trademark blue turf but Hout can\'t be suspended for taunting Blount but Blount has suspended from all the games including bowl games for hitting Hout.

Legarrette Blount regretted for his mistake now and asked for forgiveness but still he will remain on scholarship. Oregon\'s college has even suspended him for the rest of the games on Friday.


NCAA spokesman Erik Christianson said in a statement, "Under no circumstance is fighting acceptable. ... Sportsmanship is everyone\'s responsibility, including student-athletes, coaches, officials, institutions and fans\".
