Shikshak Divas- Teachers Day

Teachers Day is on 5th September 2009. Teacher's day is celebrated as the birthday of the second President of India, Dr. Radhakrishnan. Dr. Radhakrishnan asked his admirers to celebrate his birthday not as his birthday but as the teacher\'s day. It shows Dr. Radhakrishnan\'s love for the teaching profession.

On Teacher\'s Day all teachers of schools are appreciated. Not only teachers wait for this day but student also much excited for this day. Students of various schools dress up as a representation of their teachers and take various lectures. Flowers and gifts etc are also offered to the teacher from their students. On this day both teachers and students realize their responsibilities for each other.
